ngmi thought everyone else had already made it.
They knew each other.
They knew where to stand.
They knew what to say.
ngmi knew nobody
and had no idea how to do it.
So ngmi stood off to the side,
slowly turning brown.
Every bruise became proof.
Maybe they were right.
Maybe ngmi wasn't gonna make it.
But ngmi kept making anyway.
And somewhere along the way,
ngmi started to wonder...
what was it?
Nobody seemed to know.
So ngmi let go of it
and kept making.
